We have always been passionate about food and the powerful way it can serve, bring joy and bring people together.
This love of food and the desire to serve started early for us, in fact it inspired us to start our own non profit in the Dominican Republic serving school lunches to children in extremely impoverished communities. You can learn more about Mikas Lunch here, but know with each meal we create for you, it helps to create a meal for them, and we are so grateful.
We also love to spend our time in our garden learning from, and tending to a beautiful small plot of earth. The reward of being able to pluck fresh jewels from the soil and find new creative ways to bring them to life on a plate is just another way we stay inspired.

Christopher spent over two decades running the line of one of the busiest kitchens in West Michigan. He successfully earned best chef 3 years running before trading in his apron there to follow his long time dream.
He will forever be thankful for his years on the line and for his incredible team that shaped him, and led him to be the chef he is today.
Ultimately, however he knew his heart for cooking was pushing him to a new adventure.
Having always been passionate about events and serving with his incredible talents - he began the dream of what today is Food Republic.
Sarah (or as most know her - toddie) is a creative at heart and loves the opportunity for the plate to be her canvas.
She too has over 20 years experience in the food industry with menu innovation, marketing and operations. She loves finding a new fresh recipe, or a creative way to present it.
Food Republic is the culmination of a lot of passion, many years of dreaming and hard work, and she is honored to stand alongside christopher in this dream. She loves spending time in the kitchen or barefoot in the garden.
